The class opens with a welcome drink and a walk through the estate, telling you the story and the inspiration behind this place.
Then you cook. A full three-course meal of Mexican-Mediterranean cuisine, alongside the estate chef, in a working kitchen rather than a classroom. This is not a commercial experience built for tourists — it is a crafted, authentic culinary atelier, made for the discerning foodie and the genuine food enthusiast.
The menu follows the same principle as everything else here: we cook alongside what the season provides, built around whatever the growers and the sea gave us that morning — and shaped, of course, around your own preferences and restrictions.
And then you sit down and eat it. The table looks west to the Sierra de la Laguna and south to the Sea of Cortés, with the desert opening out below. The breeze comes up off the water, the mesquite still burning in the oven behind you, and the mountains take color layer upon layer while you eat what you made.
A glass of wine, the recipes to take home, and the hour of the day that Baja does better than anywhere.
Our open classes seat up to eight guests, so you may be cooking alongside other travelers. It is a good way to spend a morning, and the table tends to make friends of everyone at it.
If you would rather have the kitchen to yourselves, private classes are available on request — the same experience, the same chef, and no one else in the room.
Minimum two guests, either way.
Request a private class →Classes run four hours, from the welcome drink to the last plate. Two times a day, every day of the week, subject to availability.
The estate sits twenty-five minutes from downtown San José del Cabo — close, but outside the commercial corridor of Los Cabos. The drive is beautiful the whole way: a paved road with views of desert and ocean, all the way to our gate, and from there 1.5 miles of sand road, perfectly maintained and well signed. Any car makes it without difficulty.
The only thing to watch for is the local wildlife. Baja is known for its free-range policy, so you will come across burros and cattle on the road. Drive slowly, and enjoy the ride.
Rideshare apps and taxis generally charge a surcharge for the area, and some will decline the trip back at night: there are no drivers waiting for a fare in the middle of the desert. We can arrange private transport for you — drivers we trust, who know the road and the estate, and charge far better rates. A round trip from Puerto Los Cabos, downtown San José or the hotel corridor runs around $2,000 MXN. Ask us when you book.
*The rate above is an estimate for reference only. Every transfer is quoted individually and is subject to change and to availability on the date requested.
Please use Google Maps only. Other navigation apps route incorrectly and will most likely leave you on the wrong road.
Open classes are booked online, with payment in advance. Choose your day and time, and we will write to you beforehand to ask about allergies, transport, and anything else that will make the day easier.
